Why Coaching
Why Coaching?
Have you ever seen or met a successful athlete, business owner, a professional who succeeded without a coach? Coaching is vital, it is not an option if you really want to succeed. We, humans, are supposed to be the best of creation, however, we come into this world a blank slate, we have very few, hardly any instincts of survival, unlike all of the so-called lower life forms we are least prepared to survive on our own. There is no manual that we can read to figure out how this billion-dollar machine we possess called our mind and body really works. You see the need for a coach is not debatable, it is a fact that if you are going to succeed in anything you have got to have a coach. Now, I will give you that a coach does not need to be a professional coach, he or she could be an amazing parent, a trusted and genuine friend, a teacher, or any number of other mentors or advisors. The point is that you do need someone other than you who can see things that you can not. A professional coach just makes the process much more focused, and extremely predictable, not to mention private and secure
Here is what some very famous and successful people have to say about why you need a coach:
“Everyone needs a coach. We all need people that give us feedback. That’s how we improve.”
— Bill Gates, Founder of Microsoft, business magnate, investor, author, self-proclaimed philanthropist, and humanitarian
“The one thing that people are never good at is seeing themselves as others see them. A coach really, really helps.”
— Eric Schmidt, CEO of Google, Executive Chairman of Google and Alphabet Inc.
“Coaching helps you stop the crazy mind chatter in your head that tells you all the time that you’re not good enough.”
— Oprah Winfrey, Television personality, actress, and entrepreneur
“Something bad has happened to everybody on the planet. But if you continue to tell that story to yourself, that that is who you are, it will continue to be true. But it doesn’t have to be that way.”
— Hugh Jackman, Award-winning actor, singer, and producer
“A coach just has a different perspective. Still to this day, the best have coaches because the coach can see what you can’t see because you’re in the forest, they’re outside of it.”
— Anthony Robbins, Author, philanthropist, and life coach
You can find lots of very successful people without a college degree some even without a high school diploma, however, you will not find one successful person without a coach.
So the question is not whether you need a coach, the question is how long will you wait to get a coach? How long will you wait for your success? How long will you wander in the wilderness, how long will you keep banging your head against the wall instead of using the door? How Long?
